Our Mission:

Chartered in 1999, the Floorlayers L.U. 1181 was created to stabilize the floor covering market in the Kansas City and surrounding areas. 

Our goals are:

To provide our members the training and benefits they desire, so they may receive the wages and working conditions they deserve;

To provide the Flooring Contractors we work for - the most efficient, highly trained and professional installers in the area - so that they may be profitable and confident that the projects they have under contract will be performed to their potential; and,

To provide the end user a professional installation for their project (home or office), that will meet or exceed their design and performance expectations.
